“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something,  build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” —R. Buckminster Fuller

“We are living through one of the most fundamental shifts in history – a change in the actual belief structure of Western society. No economic, political, or military power can compare with the power of a change of mind. By deliberately changing their images of reality, people are changing the world.” —Willis Harman

I think this site holds some real great info for everyone. "To be able to be caught up into the world of thought -- that is being educated" - Edith Hamilton.

Thank you so much!!!
For me El Hierro feels like I am living in a bubble. Another world inside a world. One minus the chaos of commercialism - materialism - consumerism etc. and instead a place where social values and relationships have a greater emphasis. Although strikingly beautiful to look at, paradise is not a place but a state of mind and it's the people that make the place :-)

Hi there, my name is Heidi and I’m from Belgium. I am in El Hierro through ZERI (Zeri Emissions Research and Initiatives) to learn from and to work on the sustainability projects running on this island. The abundant nature on this volcanic island has been inspiring me every day. Tomorrow, I will leave this magic place. One thing I know for sure: I will be back. Hmm, I might go to the Bimbache openART festival this summer!
